PROJECT PACK PROTECTION
Our mission to protect these animals has never been more urgent. Project Pack Protection is asking for your help to make these necessary improvements at the sanctuary. Funds of approximately $150,000 from donors are urgently needed to build the vet clinic and storm shelters.
Like our wise wolves, we learn from our experiences. What these experiences have taught us is that the sanctuary needs better protection for the wolves for the most extreme circumstances. Therefore we’re announcing Project Pack Protection. Together with your help, Project Pack Protection will obtain the funds to build stormproof shelters and an emergency vet clinic at the sanctuary.
· Eight 10x20’ concrete Stormproof shelters
Although each of our wolf habitats has a natural-like den, the dens were not designed to fully protect the wolves during extreme weather events. Concrete stormproof shelters in each habitat will provide the extra protection the pack needs.
· Emergency vet clinic
This year two of our pack members, Meeko and Romulus, required emergency medical care from an offsite veterinarian. At present, any emergency medical trips for our animals involve valuable time spent crating sick, stressed animals for unaccustomed travel, and a frightening ride to a distant veterinary clinic. Having an emergency vet clinic on site could mean the difference between life and death for the animals in our care.
